Christmas Day 2008

Nolan woke up at 6am and came into the living room. He woke me up with his squel! He had 3 costumes hanging on the tree. There was the Hulk, Superman, and Spiderman. DJ and Nolan loved everything. Nolan looked outside 2 times. He could not understand where his 4 wheeler was. He told Santa to leave it in the front yard and it was not there!! Why didn't Santa leave it? We had to explain that you don't always get everything you ask for. Other than not getting their 4 wheelers, they loved everything!! It was a great Christmas.

I bought specail PJ's for the boys for Christmas morning. DJ does not wear pj's so in the store he kept asking why I was buying them. After asking several times and me telling him because, I finally said, "So I don't get pictures of you in your underware!!" He about died! At least there are no pictures of him in his underware!!!

Christmas Eve 2008

Christmas Eve was fun as usual. Charlie and Nancy came down. Amanda was here. We missed Jeffery and Michael this year. They had to work. We had dinner, then played Dirty Santa. It is so much more fun when everybody steals from everybody. Momma and Daddy gave the boys an Air Hockey Table. Nolan saw what it was then fell out on the floor he was so excited! Then came Santa Claus. DJ opened the door and said so matter of factly, "I knew it was you." Of course he knew. Santa has been coming for so many years that who else would it be?

Cinder Feller

DJ was in a play, Cinderfeller. He was the Stepdaddy. It was a reverse Cinderella. It was set on a ranch in the west and it was Bubba instead of Cinderella. DJ did a wonderful job! He can't wait to be in the 3 Little Pigs in the spring!! DJ is in the back row. He has on a green shirt and Cowboy hat.

Wetumpka Christmas Parade

DJ and Nolan have wanted to be in a parade for so long now! It turns out that their football team, The Warriors, had a float this year. Nolan YELLED the whole time (about 1 hour), "Who are We?" and everyone would answer "Warriors" He was so intense the whole time! They had a great time and they finally were in a parade!!!!

Fireproof

The boys and I went to see Fireproof last night! It was a great movie and the boys loved it also. It touches on pronography in the movie without saying it. DJ wants to know why the Kirk Cameron should not click on the girl. (All it was was a head shot on the internet) I explained that God does not want married men to look at other woman. So DJ has decided that he can click on the girls picture that would take him to another website. Try explaing that to a 7 year old!

The boys want to go again tonight to the movies and see it again! It was 2 hours but GREAT!

Wow! I'm finally adding!

I am not great about adding to my blog. Who has time between work and kids? DJ and Nolan have started football. We play for the Wetumpka Warriors and are having fun.

DJ broke his growth plate in his wrist so he was out for 2 weeks. He hated football until now. It was too hot for him but it has finally cooled off so he likes it now. He might be good if he could focus. I guess with time. . .

Nolan is Nolan. He is having fun but has no clue as to what is going on! At least nothing has been broken yet! He gets to play each game. I didn't like that last week; they were BIG boys that did not play fair. But my baby was ok!

My mother is in Catalina, CA. I talked to her today. I do not think she is coming home! She loves it there! She is visiting my brother and his family. She is supposed to be on a plane Monday, I think she will miss it on purpose and then can not afford to fly home! At least Grandma is ready to come home! She is in Texas visiting her sister. My 92 year old grandmother travels more than me! I guess that will come one day!
