My how time flys!

Wow, times goes by faster and faster. The boys are out of school and trying to find something to do this summer while working from home is not easy! They want to gogogo, but it is hard to go and answer phones. Next week is Kids Blast, a half a day camp at church. I also have a girl that is going to come twice a week to keep them busy. She is cute as she can be and so sweet! The boys love her. Nolan even half way talks to her, which he does not talk to you until he knows you well!

Hopefully this summer will go great!

A Class Act

Nolan's teacher won the Class Act Award from WSFA TV this week. Every week they spotlight an outstanding teacher. There is no one more deserving than Mrs. Smith. She has taken a class that could not behave and made them the talk of the school bacause they are so wonderful! Nolan is wearing camo pants and a Navy Blue shirt with Dinos on it. You can't see his face, but my baby is on there 2 times! Congrats Mrs. Smith!

Happy Birthday Mike!

April 11 is Mike's Birthday. Danny thought it would be nice to have a surprise birthday party for him. All the brothers, DJ, Nolan, and I drove to Greenville. We surprised Mike!! I can't believe we pulled it off! Mike really appreciated us doing this for him. Poor Mike, he thought some of the brothers forgot his birthday because they didn't call. Little did he know... We all had a good time and it was great to be together and see Mike and Debra and Debra's mom!Add Image
Happy Birthday Mike!!! We love you!

Easter Egg Hunt 2009

Our church had an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. Anna was able to come with us. On the way there DJ decided that he did not want to hunt eggs. I guess the Easter Bunny is over for him. Nolan and Anna had a fun time hunting for eggs and found a lot of them.

2. He has the biggest and prettiest eyes.
3. He is too smart for his own good. He is a deep thinker.
4. He acts like daddy is his favorite, but I am the one he wants when he is sad or hurt.
5. He is very giving and helpful with smaller children or anyone that is hurt.

Nolan and Lanark Nature Center, April 3, 2009

Nolan and I went to the Lanark Nature Center for a field trip. It was a neat place. It is owned by the Alabama Wildlife Federation. We hiked and hiked. We had a nature scavenger hunt which was a ton of fun! The last picture is Nolan and his best friend, which is also his cousin, Tyler. They are 2 peas in a pod!! They are both so sweet!

Snow Pictures

It snowed most of the day. That is rare here! We had fun with a hugh snow ball fight! The sun is now shining. I'm worried about school tomorrow. It is supposed to be 26 tonight and with all the rain this weekend and the snow, I don't know if the boys can go to school.

We went out early this moring before the roads were bad and saw some pretty sites!

Nolan built this cute snowman all by himself! He did a great job!

Sunday Snow!!!

We went from 70 degrees Thurs and Friday, upper 60's on Saturday to a high of 39 today, Sunday, March 1st. I don't think it will make it! It is snowing hard with BIG flakes! We have had about 1 inch, but you can't tell it by looking at the ground! It is so wet that it is not sticking! The boys played until they were soaking wet! We have our fire pit going outside so we can warm up to it then keep playing! We have to take advantage of it while we can!

There is a picture of our camilla bush blooming with snow on it! Thats the South for you!

What a difference a weekend makes!

Wow what a weekend! Thursday and Friday we we at around 70 degrees! Tornados Friday and Saturday. At 6am on Sat we hit our high of 65degrees! We had a tornado warning this morning! It got really bad here. When the news says it is headed for Blue Ridge (where we live) I will always be ready! The trees were rotating! They were not just blowing in the wind. You could follow the storm as to what trees were rotating! If you look closely at the video you can see the trees rotating! So far since yesterday we have recieved 3 3/4" of rain! We have ponds everywhere and I am now listening to it rain in my fireplace!

Stay tuned and check back tomorrow. Hopefully I will post pictures of us playing in snow! Yes the are saying snow for tomorrow!! And a high of 47 for the day!

A weekend that started at 70 degrees and will end up at 47 degrees with snow, in the South! But don't forget this is Alabama. Next Thursday the high should be around 70 again!

Monster Trucks!

The boys love going to the Monster Trucks! It is one of the major highlights of their year! Poor mamma did not get to go this year! We went with Tracey, Anna, and Morgan. Tracey was able to get pit passes this year. We went early and were able to meet all the drivers and see the cars up close. The kids had a great time! Tracey and I were hated it! We had 2 drunk women behind us that had spilled beer which we had our feet in the whole time! You would think at 2 pm you would not have many drunks, especially when they had their kids! Also, one of their kids cried the whole time!! The momma said she doesn't understand why he cries every year! Stop bringing him back!! The kids had fun and that is all that matters!!

BasketBall

I love Upwards Basketball! I just hate getting up early on Sat morning! We are halfway through the season. DJ and Nolan have been blessed with great Christian coaches.

DJ is really good at shooting hoops! I am impressed with him!

Nolan is learning a lot more this year. Last year he would get bored and start twirling on the floor, lost in his own world! This year is much better. He still gets tired and bored, but is paying better attention out there longer. He thinks he should be great no matter what! I keep telling him to practice, practice, practice!! He will get it! Next year he should be good! That is if he quits hiding behind chairs! Last week he kept telling me that he didn't want to play. So he and his friend Morgan decided to hide behind chairs!! They thought no one saw them! They have been warned that they have to run laps Thursday at practice! They were upset! That will teach them to hide!
